ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR PARTICIPANTS:

To be considered for the Indigenous Youth Leadership Program (IYLP) in Vanuatu, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Aged between 21 – 30 years;
Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander;
Available for the project dates including the training dates (approximately June 21st to August 8th 2012);
Eligible to obtain or have an Australian Passport;
Able to submit an online application to YCA for the IYLP;
Available for an interview (either in person for over the telephone, depending on your location) between the prescribed dates; and
Willing and physically able to undertake a 6 week community development and cultural exchange project in Vanuatu, followed by debriefing in Sydney, Australia (for a total of 7 weeks).

HOW TO APPLY:

To apply to the Indigenous Youth Leadership Program as a volunteer, please follow the steps below:

1.	Click on the 'Apply Here' button on the left.
	On the 'Apply Here' page, there is a small drop down menu box. From the drop down menu please select 'IYLP Application'.
2.	Fill out all the required fields. We will use your answers on this form to help decide who we interview, so please tell us as much about yourself as possible.
3.	Upload your resume by clicking the 'Browse' button. Please make sure you include the contact details of at least one referee.
4.	Submit your application.
5.	You will receive a copy of your application to your email, confirming that your application has been received.

Please note: Make sure that when applying for a Volunteer Position on the IYLP program, you fill in the correct 'IYLP Application' form from the drop down menu.
