Please consider the below criteria. | | | | Eligibility: | | 1. Are you between 18 and 30 years (or 21 and 30 years if you are applying for Indigenous Australia or an Internship)? 2. Do you have or are you eligible to apply for a current Australian Passport? If you are NOT an Australian citizen you must ensure that you are eligible for a VISA to enter your project country of choice? Please note: YCA cannot help international applicants with the VISA process to enter Australia. | | | | | Recruitment Process: | | 1. ONLINE APPLICATION FORM | | You must complete and submit YCA's online application form by clicking on the 'Apply Here' button in the left menu bar. | | | 2. ARRANGE AN INTERVIEW | | Once YCA has received your application you will be contacted by a member of the Recruitment Team to discuss your application and program interest. We will then organise a time for an interview. Please note: Interviews are conducted at the Sydney office or by phone if more suitable. | | | | 3. INTERVIEW | | The interview is an opportunity for YCA to learn more about you and why you would like to volunteer with YCA. It is equally an opportunity for you to ask us any questions that you may have about YCA or our programs. Before your interview, please read carefully through the country specific information from our website, so that you can ask any questions. | | | 4. REFERENCE CHECK AND SECOND INTERVIEW | | | 5. SELECTION | | Finally, if successful and you are happy with your project placement, you will be included on one of our programs. | | Once you are assigned to a program, YCA will send you all the information you need to prepare for your overseas or Indigenous Australia placement. This pack will be sent to you via email and will include 2 - 3 attachments, including Volunteer Forms, National Police Check form and a Money and Making Deposits fact sheet (international only). | | | | In addition, to secure your place on the project, you must pay your deposit ($300) within 14 days of receiving this information pack. | | | | After this phase your details are passed over to one of our Program Managers who will support you throughout your preparation phase. | | | | | |
