Youth Challenge Australia are looking for dynamic leaders and educators, with knowledge of youth work and development, to fill the role of Field Staff. There are positions available for projects in developing communities in Costa Rica, Guyana, Mexico and Vanuatu. Working closely with a team of international staff and volunteers, Field Staff manage the preparation, coordination and facilitation of 5 to 10 week community development projects. Group sizes can vary, however there will be no more than 7 volunteers per Field Staff member.
Field Staff have the opportunity to build experience and skills in:
Leadership;
Youth work;
Report writing and financial management;
Project management;
Logistics;
Mediation and conflict resolution; and
Cross cultural communication.
Prior to the project, our Field Staff undergo training with the Australian staff, as well as 2-10 days orientation in-country. This training is focused on providing you with the necessary skills and knowledge to prepare you for the community project.
