Volunteer Programs Overseas and within Indigenous Australia
Youth Challenge Australia (YCA) is an Australian-based, not-for-profit, secular organisation. YCA actively engages youth to volunteer overseas and in Australia on community identified development projects. Since 1992, our programs have offered 18 – 30 year olds the opportunity to assist the growth of sustainable and positive community development around the world.
YCA recruits and trains youth to volunteer overseas in Costa Rica, Guatemala, Guyana, India, Mexico and Vanuatu, as well as in Indigenous communities in Australia. Our development projects range from 4 to 15 weeks in length and focus on a range of issues including education, gender equality and human rights, health and HIV/AIDS, and environmental sustainability. Some programs place volunteers individually or in pairs, and others are small group programs with in-country support and trained Field Staff.
